Privacy Policy

Brain Beats is built to be private by default. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. We don't collect your personal data — full stop. This policy explains the details, and applies to the Brain Beats website (brain-beats.com) and the Brain Beats mobile apps for Android and iOS.

What we collect

Nothing personal. Brain Beats has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking of any kind. The site does not load Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics, or any other analytics script or beacon.

Hosting

brain-beats.com is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles the HTTP requests your browser makes for the site's files and applies its own privacy policy to that traffic. We have not turned on Cloudflare Web Analytics for this site, and we do not receive visitor-level data from Cloudflare.

Data stored on your device

To remember your preferences between sessions, the app saves a few small settings locally on your device only (using your browser's or app's local storage). This includes things like:

• Your theme choice (light or dark)
• Your saved presets and recent-session history for each studio
• Whether you've seen the welcome/onboarding screen
• The last mood you selected on the Flow screen

This information never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's data (or your browser's site data). Uninstalling the app also removes it.

Network connections

Brain Beats generates all of its audio on your device — no streaming, no servers. On this website, the display fonts are served from brain-beats.com itself rather than a font CDN, so browsing the site makes no routine connection to any other company. The only outside requests are ones you start yourself by following a link.

The Android and iOS apps ship a packaged copy of the site, and current builds still load their display fonts from Google Fonts. When that happens, Google may receive your device's IP address as a normal part of serving the fonts, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store this information.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to third-party websites (for example research citations on PubMed, audio on SoundCloud, our source on GitHub, or our companion project Allostasis). Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. We're not responsible for the content or practices of other sites.

Children's privacy

Brain Beats does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal information at all, the app is safe to use at any age, though it is not specifically directed at children under 13.

Health disclaimer

Brain Beats is a relaxation and focus audio tool for general wellbeing. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you have a health concern, please consult a qualified professional.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Brain Beats after a change means you accept the updated policy.
